There are some great places to eat at Islands of Adventure, whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a sit-down meal.

I’ve visited Islands of Adventure more times than I can count – both with and without kids. So, to help you choose where to eat, I’ve listed the best restaurants below, along with their menus, prices and seating options.

1. Mythos

The award-winning Mythos is the best place to eat at Islands of Adventure. Situated in The Los Continent area of the park, Mythos serves Mediterranean, Asian and American dishes.

3. Three Broomsticks

If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you must eat at The Three Broomsticks. This quick-service restaurant is located in Hogsmeade and serves a range of British cuisine, such as:

  • Fish & Chips
  • Shepherd’s Pie
  • Rotisserie Smoked Chicken

The Three Broomsticks has both indoor and outdoor seating. Meanwhile, the attention to detail in the decor is truly remarkable.

4. Comic Strip Cafe

The Comic Strip Cafe in Toon Lagoon is one of the most dated restaurants at Islands of Adventure. However, the broad appeal of affordable, healthy dishes makes it somewhere worth noting. Some of my favourites include:

  • Chicken Caesar Salad Combo
  • Tropical Chicken Salad Combo
  • Fish Pita Platter

Comic Strip Cafe is also great if you have a gluten intolerance, as gluten-free bread is available here.

5. Fire Eater’s Grill

One of the cheapest places to eat at Islands of Adventure is Fire Eater’s Grill. This counter-service restaurant is located between Hogsmeade and Suess Landing and serves:

  • Gyros
  • Hot Dogs
  • Chicken Fingers
  • Salads

Entrees here start at just $9.99, combos are $12.79, and the food is delicious! However, there are two drawbacks to dining here.

Firstly, there’s no Coca-Cola Freestyle machine for refillable drinks nearby. Second, there are only about five tables to sit down and eat here, all of which are outdoors.

6. Thunder Falls Terrace

If you want to eat the theme park staple, turkey legs, then you’ll find them at Thunder Falls Terrace. Located in Jurassic Park, Thunder Falls Terrace is one of just two places that serves turkey legs at Islands of Adventure.

Turkey legs are sold here as a combo for $16.99 or a platter for $19.99. However, there are other foods available, including:

  • Chargrilled Ribs
  • Rotisserie Chicken
  • Bacon Cheeseburger
  • Chicken Wrap

Thunder Falls Terrace also has a lot of seating, the majority of which is inside, making it a great place to stop for lunch with the family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the best places to eat at Islands of Adventure, including reservations and prices, are below.

What is the best sit-down restaurant at Islands of Adventure?

Mythos in The Lost Continent is widely considered the best sit-down spot, with ten Theme Park Insider Best Restaurant awards behind it. Heads up that Universal announced in May 2026 that The Lost Continent (including Mythos) will close by 2027 for redevelopment, so a 2026 visit is your last realistic chance. The menu now leans Mediterranean contemporary American, with lamb dishes, octopus, and signature cocktails around $12 to $15.

Do I need reservations to eat at Mythos?

Reservations are strongly recommended for Mythos, especially during peak weeks and given the impending closure announcement. We book through the OpenTable listing or call Universal Dining on (407) 224-FOOD a few weeks ahead. Walk-ins are sometimes possible at off-peak lunchtimes, but the wait can stretch past an hour on busy afternoons.

Where can I get a turkey leg at Islands of Adventure?

Thunder Falls Terrace in the Jurassic Park area is the main turkey leg spot, with a Smoked Turkey Leg Combo at about $18.99 and a Platter at $15.49 in 2026. Be aware that Thunder Falls Terrace closes in summer 2026 for a full rebuild into IOA’s new signature full-service restaurant, set to reopen in 2027. Outdoor carts near Jurassic Park and Hogsmeade also sell turkey legs when open.

Is there a sit-down restaurant in The Wizarding World at Islands of Adventure?

Yes, the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade is the only full-service-style restaurant in Islands of Adventure’s Wizarding World, although it functions as quick service with table seating. The menu covers British staples like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and rotisserie smoked chicken, plus a Great Feast platter at $60.99 for four people. Mobile ordering through the Universal Orlando app is now supported, which we use to skip the counter queue.

Where is the cheapest food at Islands of Adventure?

Fire Eater’s Grill in The Lost Continent and Comic Strip Cafe in Toon Lagoon tend to have the lowest entree prices, both under $15 for most platters. The Burger Digs in Jurassic Park is another solid budget pick, with the Stegosaurus Burger Platter around $20.99 and a self-service dressing bar that returned in February 2025. Keep in mind that Fire Eater’s sits inside The Lost Continent and may close as part of that land’s phased redevelopment.
