There are currently two different pick-up and drop-off locations at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Rideshare drivers, friends and family can use any drop-off location at Universal Studios Hollywood for free. No special ticket or permission is required. Just follow the signs at Universal City.
You can select either of the Universal Studios Hollywood locations on the Uber or Lyft app. However, the location you choose is essential as it’s a 20-minute walk between the two.
Location #1 – Universal Studios Hollywood Park Entrance
If you are going straight to the theme park, the best place to be dropped off is the Frankenstein Parking Garage. This is the closest Universal Studios Hollywood parking garage to the park entrance.

As a driver, follow Uber/Lyft’s directions to find the Frankenstein Parking Garage drop-off/pick-up location.
Once you enter the parking garage, wrap around the island in the middle. There are no ticket barriers at the Frankenstein Parking Garage. But attendants are on hand to check the traffic flow.

As a guest, exit the vehicle inside the parking garage and follow the signs to the theme park entrance. You’ll need to go up one floor to the walkway using the stairs, escalator or elevator. From the walkway, follow the pathway to the theme park entrance.

As a guest leaving the theme park, you’ll want to exit via the main gates. Then, follow the pathway around and to the right. As you head across the walkway, you should see the signs for the Frankenstein Parking Garage.

The pick-up location inside the Frankenstein Parking Garage is on the ground floor. To get there, you’ll need to go down the stairs, escalator, or elevator.
Location #2 – Universal Hollywood CityWalk
If you want to dine or shop at Universal’s CityWalk, the best pick-up/drop-off location is at the ET Parking Garage.
The ET Parking Garage is at the far end of CityWalk, behind Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. Subsequently, it’s a 20-minute walk from the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park entrance.

This pick-up/drop-off location is less popular than the Frankenstein Garage and has fewer signposts in CityWalk. As such, if you’re getting an Uber or Lyft, I recommend using the rideshare app’s navigation to ensure you’re in the right place to meet your driver.
