8 Hotels Within Walking Distance Of Disney Springs

Formerly known as Downtown Disney, Disney Springs is Walt Disney World’s shopping, dining, and entertainment district. With more than 150 stores, restaurants, and attractions, there’s no end of things to experience here!

As such, it’s no surprise that staying within walking distance of Disney Springs is a fantastic choice for your Walt Disney World vacation. Luckily, there are eight excellent hotels, all within walking distance;

This delightful Victorian-inspired Disney Vacation Club resort is right in the heart of the action.

The resort is connected to Disney Springs by a pathway that takes roughly 15 minutes to walk and brings you in at the top of Disney Springs near the House of Blues & Splitsville.

Alternatively, you can also take the 15-minute ferry journey along the Sassagoula River for a more relaxing transportation experience.

In this case, the boat launch brings you in at The Landing at Disney Springs, just up from The Boathouse restaurant.

Room rates here start at $269 per night for a studio and increase from there depending on your room requirements, with the largest room at the resort, a three-bedroom grand villa, costing more than $825 per night.

Disney Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is one of only two Disney Resort hotels within walking distance of Disney Springs, and as such, unlike other hotels on this list, it comes with some of the unique benefits of staying on-property, including;

• Disney themed rooms

Alongside the unique benefits of staying on-site, this hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including;

There are also plenty of dining options on-site, including The Artist’s Palette for quick service meals and the Turf Club Bar & Grill for table service dining.

The four-star Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is located just across the water from Disney Springs and connected by a pedestrian sky bridge which opened back in 2019.

As such, it takes just 15 minutes to walk from the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista to Disney Springs, with the bridge bringing you in near Once Upon A Toy & Earl of Sandwich.

Room rates at this hotel start at $159 per night for a standard room and increase depending on your room type, with suites available for those wanting a little extra space.

Note that this hotel is significantly cheaper than Disney Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and, therefore, ideal if you’re looking for that Disney Springs proximity at a more affordable price.

Unlike Saratoga Springs, the Hilton Orlando Lake Beuna Vista is not an on-site Walt Disney World property.

However, it’s still an official Walt Disney World partner hotel and therefore provides guests with complimentary access to the park 30-minutes before general admission & a shuttle bus direct to the parks.

Of course, they are not the only benefits of staying at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista since the hotels facilities also include;

While being a three-star hotel means that the range and quality of the facilities are lower than the Hilton & Saragota Springs discussed above, there are still several reasons to stay here, including;

• Games room & arcade
• Volleyball & basketball courts

Better still, as an official Walt Disney World partner hotel, the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista has scheduled shuttle transportation to the Walt Disney World theme parks daily and provides guests with complimentary access to the park 30-minutes before general admission.

Much like The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista, The Hilton Buena Vista Palace is located just a 20-minute walk from Disney Springs and can be accessed via the pedestrian sky bridge that brings you in next to Once Upon A Toy & Earl of Sandwich.

The difference between Hilton Buena Vista Palace and Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is marginal, given that they are both Hilton-owned properties within a similar walking distance to Disney Springs.

However, most guests agree, ourselves included, that Hilton Buena Vista Palace is the better resort of the two.

This is mainly due to the rooms at Hilton Buena Vista Palace being slightly larger & the rooms and resort itself being more modern and luxurious.

Room rates at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace start at $239 per night for a standard room and increase all the way up to roughly $629 per night for a suite.

Although the facilities are not as extensive as some of the other hotels on this list, there is still plenty to keep you entertained during your stay, with;

Given that this is an IGH property, guests staying at the resort can also benefit from the perks provided by the IHG Rewards Club where applicable, including;

Unlike other Holiday Inn properties in and around Orlando, the Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area is an official Walt Disney World partner hotel and therefore provides guests with complimentary access to the park 30-minutes before general admission.

The B Resort & Spa is one of the newest resorts on this list, having only opened in 2015.

This incredible four-star complex is located just a 15-minute walk from Disney Springs and provides guests with a broad range of facilities and services, including;

• Multiple on-site restaurants
• Spa
• Fitness centre
• Outdoor swimming pool
• Shopping arcade
• Complimentary parking
• Shuttle bus to Walt Disney World

Rates for a standard room start at $209; however, for those looking for something a little extra special or with a little more space, suites are available from $359.

The B Resort & Spa is also an official Walt Disney World partner hotel. This means that guests staying at the resort can enjoy complimentary access to the Walt Disney World parks 30-minutes before general admission.

At the time of publication, the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando is not yet accepting its first guests but is available for bookings and is set to open its doors to the public on Oct 27th 2022.

The Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando is located just a 20-minute walk from Disney Springs and will provide guests with a broad range of features and services, including;

• On-site restaurant
• Fitness centre
• Outdoor swimming pool
• Complimentary parking

Better still, the most recent press release for the hotel came with the exciting news that the hotel has been given the Walt Disney World preferred partner hotel status.

As such, guests staying at the hotel can benefit from the following perks;

• Shuttle bus to Walt Disney World
• Access to the Walt Disney World parks 30 minutes before general admission

As the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando is not yet open, rates for rooms have not been released.

However, since this is a Drury property, we can expect the hotel to offer guests excellent value for money since Drury Hotels are well known for their “Free Extras”, which include;

• A complimentary hot breakfast buffet each morning
• Free snacks & soft drinks on an evening
• Complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel

Old Key West Resort is a Walt Disney World property, and as such, you can travel to the nearby Disney Springs either on foot, by boat or by bus.

During our stay at Old Key West for our wedding back in 2019, we often opted to travel to Disney Springs on a complimentary boat.

The scenic journey along the Sassagoula River takes roughly 10 minutes, and see’s you arrive in Disney Springs at The Landing just next to The Boathouse restaurant.

If waiting around for the boat isn’t for you, you can look to walk along the Saragota Springs Nature Path for 30 minutes before arriving at Disney Springs at the top end near the Strawberry Parking Lot and House of Blues.

Of course, the proximity to Disney Springs isn’t the only benefit to staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort since, as an official Walt Disney World resort, guests benefit from a range of excellent facilities;

• Business Centre
• Complimentary WiFi throughout the resort
• Self-service laundry facilities

Old Key West is a DVC resort, and as such, the rooms here are either studios or villas catering to larger groups and families. While this makes Old Key West a popular choice for some, it also makes it an expensive one, with rates for rooms starting from $439 per night.
