One day is enough to experience everything that Knotts Berry Farm has to offer unless you’re visiting in the summer when crowds are higher. In that case, you may want to spend two days at the park or invest in the FastLane option to skip the lines.

Is One Day At Knott’s Berry Farm Enough?
For the majority of people, one day at Knott’s Berry Farm is enough.
However, if you want to experience all the rides inside the park multiple times, or are visiting during the height of summer then it may be worth extending your visit to two days or purchasing the FastLane option which allows you to skip the lines.
That being said, if you’re just looking to take in the park’s entertainment, experience a few rides, eat some of their famous boysenberry treats, and wander around the park’s charming Old West-themed areas, then a single day should be sufficient.
What’s The Best Day To Go To Knott’s Berry Farm?
The best day to go to Knott’s Berry Farm is mid-week. Ideally Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
However, if you’re unable to visit on those days then there are a couple of things you’ll want to keep in mind when planning your trip.
Weekends & Holidays
If you want to avoid crowds, then it’s best to visit Knott’s Berry Farm on a weekday.
Tuesday through to Thursday is best, however, Monday and Friday aren’t terrible unless it’s a national holiday.
During any season, weekends are always the worst, especially since this is a local theme park with a lot of nearby residents owning annual passes visiting on the weekend.
Seasonal Events
If you want to visit during a special event or show, check the park’s schedule in advance.
Events like Knott’s Scary Farm during Halloween and Knott’s Merry Farm during the holidays are just two of many seasonal celebrations held at Knott’s Berry Farm.
These are fantastic events. However, they also bring higher crowds and therefore may not be the best time to visit if it’s your first trip to the park and you’re looking to solely focus on all the incredible rides Knott’s Berry Farm has to offer.
Weather
While California typically sees year-round sunshine you’ll find that the cooler winter months are quieter and the summer months are busier with more people on vacation from school or work and looking to spend time outdoors.

While summer will typically lead to a better weather experience, the park is likely to be more crowded compared to those cooler months in January through until the middle of March.

How To Skip The Line On Rides At Knott’s Berry Farm
When visiting Knott’s Berry Farm, there are a few ways to avoid waiting in line for rides;
Fast Lane Passes
If you purchase a Fast Lane Pass, you can skip the long lines for certain rides.
These passes are available for purchase both online and at the park, with prices varying by day and season.
Single Rider Lines
Some rides in the park have a special line for “single riders,” who can bypass the regular line by taking empty seats.
If you choose this option, you can skip the regular line and likely get seated more quickly, but you will end up separated from your group.
Early Entry
You may be able to enter Knott’s Berry Farm before it opens if you have a season pass or stay at a hotel that is affiliated with the park.
This is a great way to beat the crowd and get on some of the most popular rides before the park opens to the general public.
