How Many Times Can You Ride The Hogwarts Express?

If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter franchise and visiting the Universal Orlando Resort, then taking a ride on the Hogwarts Express is a must.

This iconic train takes you on a magical journey between the two Wizarding Worlds; Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.

You can ride the Hogwarts Express at Universal Orlando as many times as you would like, provided you have a park-to-park ticket.

A park-to-park ticket is required since on the journey you’ll move between parks.

However, that’s not the only thing you’ll need to consider if you’re looking to ride the Hogwarts Express multiple times during your trip.

The Hogwarts Express is one of the most popular rides at the Universal Orlando Resort and while the park-to-park ticket limitation does reduce the number of people able to go on the journey slightly, wait times can still often be in excess of one hour during the peak season.

As such you’ll want to determine whether spending a significant amount of time in line for the ride is worth it.

While a Universal Express Unlimited pass will be able to reduce the time you spend in line, the experience is still going to take a significant amount of time out of your day.

The second thing you’ll want to consider is whether multiple journeys on the Hogwarts Express are worthwhile.

The story told on the journey from Kings Cross (Universal Studios Florida) to Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure) is different to that told on the journey from Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure) to Kings Cross (Universal Studios Florida) and for that reason, we understand taking the return trip.

However, any more than that and you’ll be experiencing the same journey and story, which much like spending your time in line, may not be the best use of your time at the parks.
