How to Upgrade Park Tickets

How you go about upgrading your Universal Orlando theme park tickets depends on:

Where you purchased the tickets
Whether you’re already on your Universal Orlando vacation.

If you are not currently on your Universal Orlando vacation then you’ll want to contact Guest Services on 407-224-4233 to upgrade your tickets.

If you are already at Universal Orlando then you’ll want to visit Guest Services in person. There are desks at all on-site Universal Orlando hotels and at every park.

If you didn’t buy your tickets directly from Universal (so from a UK tour operator, a US travel agent, Undercover Tourist, or as a hotel package) then the upgrades available may be limited.

Typically, Universal Guest Services can only add on top of your existing ticket (e.g. add Express Pass, upgrade to Park-to-Park, add Epic Universe), not fundamentally change what the third party sold you so in this case it’s often best to contact the third-party seller first.

Common Upgrade Mistakes

Before upgrading your Universal Orlando park tickets there are some things you should know:

Upgrading is always cheaper than buying a new ticket. The value of your existing ticket goes towards the upgrade.
On the day Express Pass discounts don’t exist. Universal doesn’t run last-minute Express discounts. The on-the-day price at Guest Services is the same as the price shown on the app.
Premier on-site hotels offer free Universal Express passes. Select on-site hotels at Universal Orlando offer free Express Passes for all guests on the day of both check-in and check-out which can often be cheaper than buying the Express Passes individually.
