Like most theme parks, the food at Legoland Windsor isn’t cheap. On our one-day visit as a family of four (kids aged 4.5 years and almost 2) in July 2026, we spent £67.69 on food and drink. That’s despite bringing our own snacks to keep costs down.

Methodology: Prices and menus are verified from my July 2026 visit, where I photographed every menu board I could find, plus a cross-check against the official Legoland.co.uk dining pages in July 2026. Where a price is not published by Legoland I’ve flagged it so you know.

How Much Food Costs at Legoland Windsor (2026)

These are the typical prices for popular food items during our July 2026 visit:

  • Burger meal with fries: £13.50 adult, £8.95 kids
  • Hot dog with fries: £8.50 adult, £8.95 kids
  • Fish and chips: £10.20 to £12.40 adult, £8.10 kids
  • Buffet at City Walk: £18.50 adult, £12 child (under-5s eat free)
  • Whippy ice cream: £5.50 to £6.00
  • Soft drink (large): £5.25 adult, £2.50 kids
  • Bottle of water: £2.50

Based on this, I’d suggest budgeting £25 to £35 per adult per day and £20 to £30 for kids. However, this is just for the day. If you’re staying overnight either on-site in a Legoland hotel or elsewhere you’ll need to budget for dinner too.

Restaurants at Legoland Windsor

Legoland Windsor has four sit-down or larger counter-service restaurants, plus a spread of snack kiosks and ice cream stands.

Pizza and Pasta

💷 Prices: Adult £18.50 · Child £12 · Under-5s free
📍 Location: Heartlake City

Pizza & Pasta is the only buffet restaurant at Legoland. Here you can help yourself to all-you-can-eat pizza, pasta, and salad buffet.

City Walk Pizza and Pasta all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant at Legoland Windsor

This is the best value sit-down meal in the park but only if you’re going hungry. I’m more of a grazer so while I’ve eaten here once in the past I now prefer to grab different bits of food throughout the day instead.

Vegetarian options are available here. However, gluten-free pizza bases and vegan cheese were removed from the menu in November 2024.

Pirate’s Burger Kitchen

💷 Prices: Adult mains £8.50–£22 · Kids meal £8.95 · Sundaes £5.75–£6.25
📍 Location: Pirate Shores

This restaurant offers a combination of burgers, chicken and sundaes. Our family ate here on our visit in July 2026 as we went anti-clockwise around the theme park so this was the restaurant we were at come lunchtime.

Pirate’s Burger Kitchen has both indoor and outdoor seating. However, it can get busy here during peak season.

For this reason, one of my top tips when visiting Legoland is to eat slightly earlier or slightly later. In this case, we had lunch at 11:30 and by the time we were leaving almost an hour later the restaurant was almost full.

A passholder deal was available here during my visit. One adult main course with soft drink is £12. Kids main meal just £5. Applies to regular menu items only.

Farmer Joe’s Chicken Company

💷 Prices: Adult mains £12.50–£13.75 · Kids meal £7.50 · Family box (serves 4) £39.50
📍 Location: DUPLO Valley

Farmer Joe’s Chicken Company is one of the smaller restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating located at the edge of DUPLO Valley. The menu here is limited to chicken in different formats including boneless chicken tenders and sandwiches.

Given how small this restaurant is it can be hard to get a seat here on weekends in the summer and during the school holidays. However, you can often find space across at the Duplo theatre or even eat on a bench in the DUPLO playground while the kids play.

Vegetarian options and a pre-packaged gluten-free bread option are available on request.

Hungry Troll

💷 Prices: Fish & chips £10.20–£12.40 · Sausage & chips £8.20 · Kids meal £8.10
📍 Location: LEGO Mythica

I’ve tried to eat at Hungry Troll on three visits to Legoland Windsor now and I’ve never managed to get a seat here. This restaurant serves British fish and chips with a Mythica-themed twist.

While this restaurant primarily serves fish and chips there’s also vegan options including a Plant Fish Finger Sandwich as well as gluten-free variants. It’s also the only restaurant inside Legoland Windsor to serve alcohol (not including the restaurants at the hotel).

Legoland Windsor has free water refill stations across the park. Restaurants will also provide tap water for free on request.

Snack Kiosks

Beyond the main restaurants, there are also several snack kiosks:

  • Firehouse Fries and Beginning Bites: Brick Fries and quick snacks.
  • Wizard’s Frozen Wonders: Soft-serve whippy.
  • DUPLO Coffee Co: coffee and light snacks.
  • Heartlake Café: Costa coffee, cakes, sandwiches.
  • Heartlake City Ice Cream Parlour: Soft-serve whippy.
  • Heartlake City Doughnuts: 1 for £2.50, 5 for £8, 10 for £10.
  • Knight’s Kingdom Hot Dog Stand: Top Dog £8.75, Plant Dog £8.75, nachos £6.25.
  • Ben and Jerry’s Scoop Shop: scoops, shakes, sundaes.
  • Beastly Bites: themed doughnuts £1.95, 5 for £7.50, 10 for £9.50.
  • Sweet Stop: pick-and-mix, candy floss, popcorn.
  • LEGOLAND Coffee Co kiosks: Costa coffee, sandwiches etc.

Kingdom of the Pharaohs, Miniland, and LEGO NINJAGO World have no dedicated permanent food outlets so you’ll want to eat before you visit these areas.

Coca-Cola Freestyle cups are available for £16 (with tiered discounts if you buy in advance online), with unlimited free refills all day at the drinks stations across the park.

This is the most formal restaurant inside any Legoland Windsor hotel with an à la carte menu offering Black Rock Grill mains. The more mature menu matches the decor with a LEGO sleeping dragon watching over the dining room. Reservations are essential for eating here.

Clubhouse Restaurant & Bar

💷 Prices: Pizzas £18–£18.25 · Risotto £15.75 · Family of four dinner ~£71.50 (£57.20 with AP)
📍 Hotel: Legoland Woodland Village

This on-site restaurant at the Legoland Woodland Village offers a range of pizzas, risottos, and mocktails. Breakfast is served here daily and included as part of the package with every overnight stay.

Bringing Outside Food Into Legoland Windsor

You are permitted to bring food and drink into Legoland Windsor (with the exception of alcohol). This is one of the primary ways we try to save money when visiting Legoland, though we opt to just bring snacks rather than full meals as we find the balance of money and convenience works best for us.

Sadly, Legoland no longer has a dedicated picnic area. Instead there are some unofficial tables and the odd grass bank but finding anywhere to sit down and eat in peak season can be incredibly difficult.

Outside food and drink is not permitted at any of the three on-site hotels as per Legoland’s terms and conditions. Only items purchased at the hotel may be consumed there.

Dietary Requirements at Legoland Windsor

Every restaurant at Legoland Windsor has at least one vegetarian option but vegan options are limited. A 14-allergen guide is available on request. However, gluten-free availability has decreased in recent years. For serious allergies, always speak to a staff member before ordering.

  • City Walk gluten-free pizza bases and vegan cheese were removed in November 2024.
  • Pirate’s Burger Kitchen, Farmer Joe’s, and Hungry Troll all offer pre-packaged gluten-free bread on request.
  • Hungry Troll has a gluten-free salad variant.
  • Both hotel buffets have V, VG, and GF options across the counter.

Kitchens will not reheat guest food, but restaurants provide a jug of hot water for baby food or formula on request. Jarred baby food is sold at Heartlake Café and Hill Top Café.
